Local employers can now apply to the Canada Summer Jobs program.
Kenora MP Bob Nault says the initiative is truly one of the best ways to get valuable hands-on experience in a real life work environment.
Nault notes there are fewer barriers to access funding this year.
Not-for-profit employers can receive 100-percent of the minimum hourly wage.
Public and private sector employers with 50 or fewer full-time employees can receive 50-percent of the minimum wage.
The deadline to apply is January 25th, 2019
