UPDATE NOON: Winter Storm Warning Remains

Better get used to this wintery weather forecast from Environment Canada.

Meteorologist Marie-Eve Giguere is putting some blame on easterly wind off the lake bringing in moisture, that’ll carry it into the overnight.

“Total snowfall amounts could go above 30cms, so when I look at the maps for the area, I’m seeing about 10cms that have already fallen.”

The meteorologist adds the wind will continue, but with it all dying down tomorrow afternoon.

It’s also a big system bringing the winter storm warning.

“Comes from Colorado… right now it’s in Manitoba, North Dakota… just exiting South Dakota. It’s still in Tennessee as we speak, there’s snow all the way to James Bay.”

The meteorologist is pointing to Friday as to when it ends, but adds the weekend will be cold.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
