Thunder Bay police have named Jonathan Yellowhead in connection with the death of Braiden Jacob.
Police say the 22-year-old is in custody after his court appearance today to answer to a second-degree murder charge.
He will appear in court again on Tuesday.
Yellowhead was arrested yesterday just after 5 o’clock, and is also charged with breach of probation.
City police say the arrest was made with help from Nishnawbe-Aski Police and indicate it happened somewhere outside of the city.
Yellowhead is a resident of Fort Hope or Eabametoong, 366 kilometres north of Thunder Bay.
They continue to investigate 17-year-old Braiden Jacob’s death.
