Dryden Approves Cannabis Stores

In the region, The City of Dryden is saying yes to the establishment of private retail Cannabis stores in the community.

The decision was made Monday night and Mayor Greg Wilson explains what the decision to “opt-in” will mean.

“We receive money fairly soon, we also have the opportunity of sharing 50/50 revenue from the federal excise tax on anything over $100-million.”

The move entitles the community to $9,200 in immediate funding and another $9,200 in future funding to assist in any potential transition.

Thunder Bay City Council has yet to make its decision on the matter.
