Thunder Bay city council has decided to close Dease Park pool, citing its age and safety concerns.

The vast majority of people didn’t agree with the move.
Many people recalled swimming there as a kid, adding today, plenty of kids need this pool for something to do, and a distraction.
They feel many kids and adults need recreation, and a place to go for community.
One man pointed out it’s needed for exercise, and growing up together, while another added another pool should be built.
However, another individual told us it’s an old facility and has outlived its lifetime, adding Widnall pool isn’t far away.
