A 39-year old Thunder Bay man is facing charges following a robbery at the Red River Road Shoppers Drug Mart.
Police tell us it was late yesterday morning when they were told a man had tried to leave the store without paying.
The man told store security he had a weapon when confronted.
He then took off, the employee wasn’t hurt.
A police officer saw someone matching the description given in the Walkover Street and Junot Avenue area.
Following a foot chase, police took him into custody in the backyard of a home on Junot Avenue area.
Police tell us the man appeared in court this morning charged with robbery, resisting a peace officer and wearing a disguise with intent.
