Thunder Bay’s Police Services Board is now sworn in.
Mayor Bill Mauro, Councillor Kristen Oliver and Don Smith read the Affirmation of Office Monday afternoon.
The Chair of the Board will now be Celina Reitberger with her Vice Chair Don Smith.
Reitberger is the first female Indigenous Chair of the Police Services Board.
She says she’s shell-shocked by the decision but hopes to bring the community and the board together.
