Confederation College is going for a strict cannabis policy.

Spokesperson Mike Rozic tells us students will be limited to where they can legally use marijuana.

According to the College spokesperson, their dorms are managed by a third-party, and their policy is to allow for up to 30 grams of cannabis in their buildings but not its use.

Rozic adds they spoke to every college in the province before creating their policy, saying it’s a joint effort “so all colleges in Ontario are on the same page.”

The college official notes if they receive a complaint it will be turned over to an investigation under the student or employee code of conduct.

Outcomes of those hearings could include a warning to a suspension.
