Salvation Army Church Marks 125 Years

Thunder Bay’s Salvation Army is celebrating 125 years in our community.

Captain Rachel Shields tells us it’s quite the feat.

“It’s exciting to think of how much the Salvation Army has been able to do for Thunder Bay over the past 125 years. Our motto for the weekend is ‘125 Years of Faith in Action.'”

An open house of the Salvation Army Church on Victoria Avenue is taking place today from nine o’clock until noon as part of their celebrations.

As well, a special concert marking the church anniversary is taking place tonight at St. Patrick High School starting at six o’clock.
