Two Arrested After Oliver Closure

Another man has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Shuniah, and subsequent closer of Oliver Road.

Thunder Bay OPP say they took him into custody yesterday afternoon just after 2.

Police are still looking for one more person.

One 20-year old man from Thunder Bay faces robbery with violence charge, fleeing police, and being in possession of cocaine.

The other 22-year old, also of Thunder Bay, faces a robbery with firearm charge, pointing a firearm, assault with a firearm, and fleeing police charge.

Oliver Road was closed yesterday between Gratton Road and Twin City Crossroads as police hunted for the suspects.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
