Fire Services Mark Anniversary Of 9/11

A solemn remembrance across the US and Canada today.

This is the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the US.

Ceremonies are planned in many locations, including New York, Washington, and in Shankesville, Pennsylvania where President Trump will attend.

Meanwhile here in our region, Shuniah Fire has retweeted several messages of support of those who responded on 9/11.

They say they will remember the victims and honour those first responders who so bravely gave their lives so others could be saved.

Thunder Bay Fire officials have told our newsroom they will be marking the day in private during their shifts.
