A Northwood daycare is changing its name.
The George Jeffrey/Sherbrooke Community Day Care is now known as Little George’s Child Care
Daycare supervisor Cindy Daniele tells us it was time for a name change.
“Little George’s is perfect,” she notes. “We’re very excited about the renaming [and] re-branding.”
Daniele says another motivation was that not many people were aware they operated in Northwood.
Spokesperson Tom Walters adds they also wanted to clear up a misunderstanding about the centre’s purpose.
He says many may not have realized they are a full-service daycare.
“There has been some misperception that we only deal with special needs children, and that’s not true.”
The daycare has been around for a decade and has offered full and part time daycare for kids 18 months to 5 years old as well as before and after school programming.
