“The Simpsons” Rumour Confirmed

A long running suspicion about “The Simpsons” has been confirmed. Yesterday, on what would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th Birthday, Simpson’s creator Matt Groening confirmed that Jacko did indeed voice a character! Back in 1991, Jackson played Leon, whom Homer meets while he’s in a psychiatric ward. Leon, a big, bald dude, claimed to be Michael Jackson. Groening says “The King of Pop” called him saying he wanted to be on the show but he didn’t want credit for the roll. The most memorable part of the show wasn’t actually performed by Michael Jackson though. He couldn’t sing the songs in the show so they had a sound-alike singer croon the classic “Lisa It’s Your Birthday”.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
