The Chief at Superior North EMS is impressed with the Regional hospital’s handling of the number of patients from a crash on the 11/17 near Pass Lake.
Wayne Gates points out the emergency ward usually takes in 3-5 people from a crash, not the number requiring help last weekend.
He says his crews handled about 9 patients, while an air ambulance assisted one.
It’s not normal for an emergency room to handle 10-14 people at once, and yet still be focused on other duties.
The hospital had to go into Code Orange from that two vehicle collision.
