The Ministry of the Attorney General says it will not be commenting on the lawsuit being initiated by the former Thunder Bay Crown attorney.
Dan Mitchell wants almost two million dollars for what he calls an unfair dismissal that caused him mental distress and damage to his reputation.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
An email from a ministry official indicates the government was served with the statement of claim on April 10th.
The official says because it’s a human resources matter and before the courts there will be no statement coming from the ministry.
