Homeless To Be Counted By PiT

The District Social Services Administration, along with many other community groups, is about to survey and count the number of homeless people in the Thunder Bay district.

CEO Bill Bradica adds the information will be given to various levels of government, in order to gauge how future homeless fighting initiatives will be co-ordinated.

It’s called a Point in Time, with various community groups starting Saturday, for a 24-hour period, talking to the homeless in Thunder Bay.

Then, for a week, the groups will spread throughout the entire district, talking to homeless people.

2016 was the last time this was done, but it was only conducted in Thunder Bay, without the rest of the district, such as Greenstone, Marathon, and Oliver Paipoonge.
