The Fort William Business Improvement Area is struggling with getting enough members together to vote on issues.
Vice Chair Shelby Ch’ng tells us they’ll be asking their members for a new constitution that will allow them to have less people needed to pass items.
The new consitution is being brought forward at the BIA’s annual general meeting tonight at the former Thrive location on Victoria Avenue.
The BIA is also concerned about a recent influx of newcomers to the south side core.
Ch’ng tells us that they’ve noticed alot of new faces, however it appears to have lead to an increase in illegal activity.
She says there’s the regular faces they know, but new faces that appear to be causing trouble.
Ch’ng notes she isn’t trying to be an alarmist.
