The Trans-Canada Highway west of the city is now open.
It was closed since the noon hour following a collision between a pick up truck and a tractor trailer on HIghway 11-17 near Finnmark road.
The driver of the pick up truck was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the tractor trailer and a passenger were rushed to hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The highway was closed for about five hours.
