Property Tax War Continues At Queen’s Park

A local man is frustrated after taking his property tax concerns to Queen’s Park.

After speaking in Toronto, Thunder Bay resident Keith Scott says provincial officials continue to ignore his mother’s skyrocketing property taxes for her Schrieber home.

He is sick and tired of hearing their hands are tied, adding nobody can afford a $1,700/year increase, as his mother is facing now.

Scott says he and other Schrieber residents won’t stay quiet about this issue, especially so close to an election.

He also says when he met recently with the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, they told him he is wrong, and they are right.
