Legal Aid Ontario is being accused of thwarting democracy.
The Society of Energy Professionals says a vote four months ago by articling students employed by the agency to join the Society have not been counted.
Legal Aid is fighting the vote, claiming the students should be separated into seven different bargaining units across the province.
The dispute comes as lawyers with Legal Aid prepare for a vote of their own to join the Society.
