The Deputy Commissioner of Correctional Service of Canada is in Thunder Bay today.
Peter Linkletter is meeting with area First Nation leaders to discuss the demand and support for a healing lodge.
Canada currently has eight healing lodges across the country and the meeting on the Fort William First Nation this afternoon will discuss the feasibility of having one in the Thunder Bay area and how officials can move forward on the idea.
