Wasaya Airlines is about to send a new, improved aircraft into service, part of major re-structuring in the company.
A Bombardier Dash 8 was unvieled at the Thunder Bay airport this morning, ready for its inaugural flight today.
President and CEO of Wasaya Michael Rodyniuk says this plane is able to take off and land on much shorter runways than other planes, including gravel.
He adds this plane can use 3,500 feet of run-way, compared to the 9,000 at Thunder Bay airport or 12,000 at Pearson in Toronto.
