Thunder Bay Police say reports of a weapon at Hammarskjold High School were a false alarm, and they’ve laid no charges.
Constable Julie Tilbury says they were called to the school just after 1 PM Tuesday due to a suspicious social media post. It appeared to show a gun inside a backpack at the school, which turned out to be a toy spray-painted black.
Tilbury reminds you that while nobody was hurt, police treat all reports of handguns as legitimate threats until proven otherwise.
