It appears that VISA isn’t holding back in its battle with Walmart.
Since last month the retail giant stopped accepting VISA payments at its Thunder Bay stores and VISA is fighting back with billboards, full page newspaper ads and now radio spots using none other than Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman promoting the local mall.
In the ad, he talks about how VISA will provide you with a $25 gift card if you use their credit card and spend more than $100 at the Intercity Shopping Centre.
Walmart says its using Thunder Bay as a test case to draw attention to what it feels are VISA’s high fees.
