With school students returning for another year, drivers have to get back into the habit of watching for street crossings and school buses.
Passing a school bus that’s stopped with its lights flashing means a fine of close to $500. Gordon Snyder of the Thunder Bay Police Service says they’ll be out watching for other violators as well, especially in school zone where the speed limit is 40 kilometre’s an hour.
Snyder says they’ll be looking those who go above the posted speed limit along with distracted drivers.
