Thunder Bay mayor Keith Hobbs and Councillor Joe Virdiramo are now revealing details of the 13 topics that were discussed last week at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference in Windsor.
They were both very pleased when told by provincial cabinet members to be ready to build an event centre, however no promises were made.
Mayor Hobbs says council will not stop fighting for a facility, citing a recent tour by singer Elton John had him stopping in Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie and Duluth, ignoring Thunder Bay.
Hobbs adds they continue to get conflicting messages between the province and the feds.
