Ontario’s Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation has wrapped up a whirlwind tour of the region. David Zimmer has been conducting a low profile visit.
Part of his visit included a meeting with the federal Indiginous Affairs Minister Carolyn Bennett. He also stopped at the Northwest Metis office for an informal meet and greet.
Zimmer heard the concerns from Metis citizens with the priorities and key issues that northerners are facing including high hydro costs, fuel prices, health care, highway maintenance and affordable housing.(Staff photo)
