Update: Pedestrian Charged In Morning Collision

Thunder Bay Police have charged a 45-year-old pedestrian with a by-law violation, after a truck knocked her down in the north core this morning.

Police say that around 9 AM, the woman was crossing Cumberland Street outside of the marked crosswalk, and did not have the right of way. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries when a 57-year old male driver of a pickup truck turned left onto Cumberland, hitting her.

Police are reminding you that both pedestrians and drivers need to use extra care at intersections.
