It seems like the province is hoping to save money on healthcare by paying some doctors less.
That’s the feeling from Lakehead University political science professor Laure Paquette.
She says the Ontario government has reduced how much it spends on hospitals and family doctors and its latest offer to the Ontario Medical Association is the next step.
Paquette adds the province is also suggesting it won’t give doctors the right to binding arbitration unless they unionize.
