The CRTC is trying to crack down on caller ID spoofing.
It’s a method telemarketers are now employing, where they use a fake phone number in hopes of getting around the Do Not Call registry.
The CRTC is seeking input on ways to help them block these unwanted calls.
Comments are due by October 16.
