The regional coroner says a date is now set for a joint inquest into the deaths of two inmates at the District Jail.
21 year old Ronald Fagan and 27 year old Jacy Pierre died a month apart from each other in the fall of 2007 while they were both in police custody. The hearing will be taking place on September 8th at the Ontario Government Building on Red River Road. The inquest will try to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
It’s expected to last two weeks and to hear from approximately 30 witnesses. (File photo)
