The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority and the other 35 authorities in the province are being reviewed by the Ontario government.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says it’s with the aim of studying the rules they run under to see how their operations can be improved.
The authorities are given power to manage water resources in the province and are instrumental in helping to protect people and property in the event of flooding.
