The winner of this year`s Staal Foundation Open is 24-year-old J.J. Spaun.
The Newport Beach, California, native captured the title with just four bogeys in four rounds, reaching 18 under par for the tournament.
Spaun, who took the tournament lead by one shot, says he avoided looking at the leaderboards lining the Whitewater Golf Club greens, which helped, especially during a nerving last few rounds.
He attributes the win to playing well.
The win sets Spaun up for next week`s PGA Tour RBC Canadian Open. (Photos: Caryn Ceolin)
