The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority is issuing a Flood Warning for O’Connor and Gillies.
The LRCA advises that approximately 123 millimetres of precipitation has been recorded in the Whitefish River Gauge in the last 12 hours.
The public is advised to use extreme caution travelling in these areas as the Whitefish River and tributaries will continue to rise into the evening.
The village of Hymers is currently flooding. Meanwhile, OPP are advising of road closures in Nolalu. Highway 593 is closed south of Highway 588.
Highway 588 is closed in both directions at Leeper Road. Highway 595 is closed at Marks Road.
Old Mill Road, Old School Road and Mercantile Lane are all closed.
OPP are also reporting that Logan Road is washed out.
