Hornepayne Continues To Camp At NAN Office

Around 60 members of the Hornepayne First Nation continue to camp out at the Nishnawbe Aski Nation office on the Fort William First Nation.

The band is upset with NAN because they won’t recognize the results of last years elections.

Councillor Isobel Peever says they should never have had to make this trip in the first place since NAN should recognize their election.

Chief Ron Kocsis says they’re willing to stay at the office for as long as it takes to get a meeting with NAN’s executive. (Photo by Sheri Leviski-Kotyk)
