Elders from the Hornepayne First Nation are occupying Nishnawbe Aski’s head office on the Fort William First Nation.
Chief Ron Kocsis says they won’t leave the office until NAN comes to talk to them about why the organization won’t recognize his community’s July 2014 election.
Kocsis adds they’ve written multiple letters asking for an explanation to no avail. A bus load of community members are sitting in the NAN office this afternoon.
