The forest fire season is officially underway.
The Ministry of Natural Resources will spend the first couple of weeks bringing crews and equipment on board and ensuring they are ready to go.

The MNR is coming off its quietest fire season in 50-years in northwestern Ontario, with only 130-fires burning just over 12-hundred hectares of land.
