Thunder Bay’s Fire Department is back from responding to a carbon monoxide leak at a home on Emmerson Avenue.
They were alerted about an unconscious patient Monday.
Crews checked the building’s carbon monoxide moniter and found readings in excess of 1,000 parts per million, which is well over the hazard level of 9 parts per million.
Officials say the patient was removed and treated in hospital and their condition is unknown at this time.
A faulty furnace was determined to be the cause of the elevated carbon monoxide levels.
