Justice Minister Peter MacKay isn’t calling the Halifax shooting plot an attempted act of terrorism.
At a press conference this morning, MacKay said two of the suspects met online, and their shared beleifs were not based on religion.
Three people have been arrested. A fouth suspect was found dead yesterday at a home in Nova Scotia.
MacKay took the opportunity to support the anti-terrorist law currently before Parliament, citing the importance of giving police the right tools to thwart attacks like this.
