Council Doesn’t Chip Away At Budget

The city will have to dig deeper for $20,000 to cover the costs of campground security.

The money never made the budget cut after Council accepted two reduction packages, last week.

Administration is now saying the costs are needed, leaving City Manager Tim Commisso with no choice but to find the $20,000 elsewhere.

A motion to reinstate the money into the budget at last night’s meeting didn’t pass, to avoid impacting the current tax levy. (File photo)
