Organizers with Thunder Bay’s Marathon Miles with the Giant are cancelling the annual event.
The run ran for five years and its board of directors decided it was time to shut it down because of a lack of significant growth.
The event, which featured a full marathon, half-marathon, 10K, 5-person relay and 5K family fun run, began in 2010.
Registration for the event has stalled at 950 total participants for each of the past 3 years.
