Update: Bridge Deal To Go To Council January 19th

More movement on the James Street Bridge.
The City received an offer from CN Rail just before the Christmas holidays.
Manager Tim Commisso won’t comment on if the deal is fair for the City but notes they’re closely examining it.
A report from the city’s lawyer is expected to come before councillors on January 19th. The bridge has been closed to vehicle traffic since October of 2013 following a fire. Since then the railway and the City have been exchanging proposals which have been rejected by both sides. (File photo)
