City Looks To Jack Up Water Rates

City staff are asking Council to consider increasing sewer and water bills by about 83 dollars a year or 15 per cent.
Environment Director Keri Marshall says the increase would be on the sewer side of the operation and would help pay for future improvements to the sewer system.
City Councillor Rebecca Johnson says any extra cost to homeowners bills is significant and it’s something that warrants a discussion.
City Council will discuss the increase at it’s meeting Monday.
