Mauro Says SPA Details On The Way

A new 2-dollar service fee for fishing and hunting licences in the province, remains fodder for the opposition at Queens Park.

Progressive Conservative Jeff Yurek calls it a tax grab and thinks that Natural Resources Minister Bill Mauro isn’t telling the whole story behind it. Yurek is demanding that the ministry let the public see the details of the Special Purpose Account set up to pay for MNR programs.

Mauro says he hopes to open the books “in very short order” to show the increase is justified. (File Photo)
