A couple of high profile court cases are back on the docket in the new year.
The first is the very public stabbing of twenty year old Daniel Levac of Sachigo Lake. It happened outside of the Silver City movie theatre in early October. Nineteen year old Shane Ashpanaquestcum of Summer Beaver is facing a second degree murder charge.
After a Tuesday court appearance he will be back before a judge January 13th. Also coming back to court on that same day will be the two former University of Ottawa Hockey players who are charged with sexual assault in connection with an incident in the city last February that scandalized the university’s hockey program.
