32 New COVID-19 Cases: TBDHU

The local health unit is confirming 32 new cases of the novel coronavirus.

28 of the cases are within Thunder Bay and surrounding areas while four have emerged from First Nation Communities.

21 of the reported cases come from the Thunder Bay District Jail and two have been reported from the Correctional Centre though it’s not clear whether the new cases involve inmates or workers.

One of the cases was obtained through close contact, five of the infections don’t have a known exposure cause and three cases are pending.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit adds eight cases have been resolved, which puts the active case count at 170.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
