29 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed

The Thunder Bay District is seeing a big jump in new COVID-19 cases, with 29 more infections being confirmed.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says four are from the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre outbreak.

There are currently 186 people still testing positive for the virus in the district.

Across Ontario, there are 1,837 new cases as of this morning, and 58 more deaths. The province is also now providing the number of novel coronavirus variants. As of today, it’s reporting there are 51 cases of the U.K. variant known as B117.
