Drug, Weapon Charges Laid, Truck Recovered

A number of charges face a Thunder Bay man following the recovery of a stolen truck by police.

They tell us they were patrolling the McLaughlin Street area in the south end around 9 o’clock Saturday morning, when they noticed the black pickup parked on the street.

Police learned the suspect was inside, believed to have a gun.

When they approached, they say the man reached into the back for unknown reasons, but was arrested without any trouble.

Police add they found a gun, and suspected cocaine.

The 29-year-old appeared in bail court over the weekend, and remains in custody.
