City Shortens Outdoor Burning Hours

You’ll have to wait later in the day to have an outdoor fire with your household.

Starting today, the city is updating the rules for outdoor burning, restricting it to the pre-pandemic hours of 5pm to 12am.

Outdoor burning had been allowed between noon and midnight to allow households to spend more time outside earlier in the year, but the city is shortening that now that the days are getting longer.

City officials also remind you that you can only apply for or renew a burning permit online, and you still need to follow COVID-19 regulations.
