Local Woman Missing For One Year

Police are asking for your help in trying to solve a local cold case.

It was one year ago today that 26-year-old Alyssa Turnbull was reported missing in Nipigon.

The woman has family in South Gillies who have been worried about what has happened to her.

OPP have been actively investigating her disappearance and at one time conducted a major search in Nipigon and conducted numerous interviews.

There has also been a $50,000 reward offered.

Still, police appear no closer to solving this mystery than when it began.

They hope on this, the one-year anniversary, someone will give them the lead they need which will solve the case.

The lead investigator, Darryl Sigouin says police are “Following up on every tip and no stone will be left unturned.”

He adds, “I am certain that there are people out there who know what happened to Alyssa and I implore these people to come forward…so that we can bring this case to a conclusion and bring Alyssa home.”

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
